What kinds of flight accidents does AirHelp provide compensation for?
AirHelp provides compensation based on different flight situations, mainly including the following situations and their corresponding standards:
- Flight Delay: Passengers are entitled to apply for compensation in the event of a flight delay, the specific amount depends on the time and distance of the delay. Standard compensation usually ranges from 250 euros to 600 euros.
- Flight Cancellation: If the flight is cancelled, passengers can apply for corresponding compensation. Standard compensation is also between 250 euros and 600 euros, the specific amount depends on the flight distance and notification time
- Flight Overbooking (Denied Boarding): When a flight is overbooked and passengers are unable to board the flight, passengers are entitled to apply for compensation. The standard compensation amount is the same as for flight delays and cancellations, usually 250 euros to 600 euros.
- Compensation Conditions: The amount and eligibility for compensation depends on a number of factors, including the origin and destination of the flight, the reason for the flight delay or cancellation, the airline's liability, etc.
How can I check the status of my claim?
You can check the status of your claim at any time in the Claims and Flights tab of your customer dashboard. They will also keep you updated on the progress of your claim via email on a regular basis.
What are the fees for AirHelp?
- Free Services: Eligibility check and information services are free of charge and unsuccessful claims are also free of charge.
- Compensation Service Fee: Compensation services are based on the principle of "no success, no fee". After successful claims, service fees (35%) and legal costs (15%) are charged which are deducted from the compensation. AirHelp+ members are exempt from service fees and legal costs.
- Membership Fee: AirHelp+ members enjoy free service fees and membership fees of €39.99 (Smart plan) and €99.99 (Pro plan).
- Special Fees: Agreements signed through travel agencies, etc. may affect the fee structure, but the total fee does not exceed the standard fee.
- Full Flight Compensation: Compensation is paid after deducting fees and is settled in accordance with relevant regulations and currencies.
- VAT: All fees include VAT unless otherwise stated.
How to get an AirLuggage claim?
- Once you have booked your flight, add it to the AirHelp+ dashboard and confirm that you are checking in your baggage;
- If your baggage is delayed or lost, send them the Baggage Irruption Report (PIR) number you received from the airport baggage loss office along with your baggage tags, boarding pass, ID and bank details;
- Step3, You will receive your claim within 12 hours. No compensation will be provided for delays or losses caused by the customers.
